- I've always loved animals. Now that my husband is retired we have been able to fulfill part of my fantasy of living on a farm. Until a little over a year ago I raised registered Irish Dexter cattle and had various sheep. Now we are on our 52 acre property in Central Oregon. I have my Dexter bull, pony, and Oldenburg mare, along with our two dogs and one cat. Eventually I want to have a garden/greenhouse, and get chickens and sheep again. Eventually I would like to be more self sufficient. It's still a work in progress.
